I am a Canadian artist, currently based in the UK. I make beautiful, collaborative messes in theatre & dance. I am a director, choreographer, writer and performer. My interdisciplinary practice draws on queer subcultures and pop culture. It is often camp, usually cheap and sometimes profound! I work across scales and forms: theatres, clubs, cabaret and immersive site responsive projects.
I am the creative producer and co-director of Glitterbomb Dancers, an LGBTQI+ club and cabaret dance troupe.
My work has been supported, commissioned and presented by organisations and venues including Dance City, The Place, Homotopia, The Unity Theatre, The Albany, Cambridge Junction, Soho Theatre, MDI, Yorkshire Dance, BE Festival GLYPT, Barbican Plymouth, Chisenhale Dance Space, Live Art Bistro, Fierce Festival, Playhouse, Leeds 2023, Light Night Leeds, Leeds Corn Exchange, Old Woollen Leeds, York Theatre Royal, Harrogate Theatre, Stephen Joseph Theatre, Drama Studio Sheffield, EnableUs Sheffield, Theatre Deli Sheffield, Dukes Theatre Lancaster, Chapter Arts Centre Cardiff, The Lowry Manchester, and Aviva Studios/Factory International. I served on the Artistic Advisory Board of National Dance Company Wales.
In 2013 my ‘Rite of Spring’ (created with PanicLab) was name one fo the Guardian’s the best dance production of the year and in 2015 ‘Thesees Beefcack (co-created with PanicLab and Canadian Playwrite Jordan Tannaill) won the Homegrown Award for Best British Production at BE Festival Birmingham.
I have worked extensively as a dramturg, movement director, rehearsal director and mentor for theatre and dance.
